Sergey Mel was born in 1986, Moscow, Russia. He got a degree in architecture, did a number of private and public architectural projects. Art has always been an integral area of his activity. Since the beginning of 2000s, he has been working in the surrealism direction. After completion of his architect career in 2020, he has acquired his own style and has been promoting the figurative abstraction genre. The main mediums are paintings, installations, wall and spatial sculptures.

   In his works, the author applies high-tech techniques and materials such as carbon fiber, epoxy resin, metals. Along with the traditional brush painting technique, he uses an airbrush, a spray gun, and flock spraying.
